ASSEMBLY

2-23

Scraper Assembly Procedure for the
Optional 3J619 and 8C988 Wheels

1.

Attach the scraper brackets. (three required for the 4”
x 6” frame tube of pulverizer) Put middle bracket to
the left of machine center, as close to center as
possible. Put outer brackets close to outside ends of
frame. See Figure 2-23.

2.

Use 1/2” U-bolts, Lockwashers, and Nuts. Do not
tighten at this time.

3.

Assemble a short angle clip to each of the three
scraper brackets.

NOTES

If pulverizer has 3J619 wheels, assemble them to holes
in scraper brackets as shown. If pulverizer has 8C988
wheels, assemble to slots as shown.

IMPORTANT

Prior to installing the scrapers ensure the pulverizer
is placed on the ground. Otherwise scraper to wheel
clearance will be affected.

4.

Attach long scraper angle to three angle clips as
shown. Shift scraper brackets on frame to line up
holes and center the scraper angle on machine.

5.

Tighten all mounting hardware.

6.

Mount the scrapers to the scraper angle (flat side
toward rear) with the hardware specified.

NOTES

On machines with center bracket there is one wide
scraper provided for use in the center. Allow a small
amount of clearance, approximately 1/8” between
scrapers and wheel surface.
