10.1 Application example
10.1.1 EPM−H605 with safety PLC and EVS 93xx − ES V004 servo inverter
ƒ The safe PLC takes over the entire drive control.
ƒ The safe sensor technology is supplied by the clock outputs of the safe
PLC and is applied to the safe digital inputs of the PLC.
ƒ Safety relay K

and mains contactor K10 are used to safely disconnect
the motor torque.
ƒ Two proximity switches and a safe evaluator are used to safely monitor
the speed.
ƒ Operating mode "manual" is used to monitor a reduced speed. Keep the
confirmation key pressed to enable the motion process.
ƒ The PLC uses a safe output to change the speed limit of the speed
monitor.
ƒ The speed monitor switches off its outputs when the limit speed is
exceeded.
