and capacity activations. Continue following the instructions in the wizard to obtain
your activations.

Installing FactoryTalk AssetCentre Machine Edition software

FactoryTalk AssetCentre Machine Edition works with either FactoryTalk Services
Platform 2.10.00 (CPR 9) or 2.10.01 (CPR 9 SR 1). If you already have the CPR 9 version
installed, you do not need to reinstall FactoryTalk Services Platform. If you do not have
FactoryTalk Services Platform installed, FactoryTalk AssetCentre Machine Edition will
install the CPR 9 SR 1 version.

If you already have the CPR 9 version installed and you wish to upgrade to the
CPR 9 SR 1 version, you must manually upgrade it from the installation disc, as described
on page 1. We recommend that you perform the upgrade before you begin installing the
FactoryTalk AssetCentre Machine Edition software.

To install the FactoryTalk AssetCentre Machine Edition software:

1. Log on to the FactoryTalk AssetCentre Machine Edition computer as an administrator

or as a user with administrative privileges.

2. Insert the FactoryTalk AssetCentre Machine Edition installation disc into your

computer.

3. The setup program should start automatically. If it does not, open the FactoryTalk

AssetCentre disc in My Computer and then run the Setup.exe program.

4. Click Install FactoryTalk AssetCentre Machine Edition.

5. The Install FactoryTalk AssetCentre Machine Edition window opens. The installer

searches the computer for required components and displays the results in this
window. The installer will not attempt to install components that already exist on the
