checked box. You cannot select or clear the check boxes in this window.

Click Start to begin the installation process.

6. Follow the on-screen installation instructions for the components that need to be

installed.

The following components are checked for and installed or configured during the
installation:

„

Microsoft .NET Framework. The FactoryTalk AssetCentre Machine Edition
software requires that Microsoft .NET Framework versions 1.1 (with Service Pack 1)

your computer, the setup program will install them.

„

FactoryTalk Services Platform 2.10.00 (CPR 9) or 2.10.01 (CPR 9 SR 1). See
“Installing FactoryTalk Services Platform,” next.

„

Check and Configure FTSP. This occurs during the FactoryTalk Services Platform

page 16.

If you see a red “X” next to one or more components, this means that the installer cannot
determine whether the component should be installed. Contact Technical Support using the
contact information provided on the copyright page at the beginning of this guide.

The installation of some components may require you to restart your computer. If this is the
case and the setup program has not finished installing all of the necessary components, the
setup program will restart the next time you log on to your computer.
