2.3.2 Serial connections (RS232)
Many different connection to the RS232 interface are possible. As well
as all Metrohm instruments which understand the Metrohm Remote
language (see 'Technical Reference 8.789.1033'), a printer (require-
ment: serial interface or parallel/serial converter) or a personal com-
puter can be connected. Instruments from other manufacturers that
have a serial RS232 interface can also be connected.

A precondition for correct data transmission is that the transmission pa-
rameters are set correctly, these must correspond to the interface set-
tings of the connected instrument (see next page).
The following section provides information about the settings and ca-
bles required for the connection of a printer.
