Folding
These instructions presume that the implement is
unfolded and lowered.

1.

Verify that the wing lock pins (page 31) are not in the
wing rest cradles. Typically they are in storage tubes.

2.

Set the fold/down-pressure circuit to Neutral.

3.

Raise the implement (page 35). Set the lift and hitch
circuits to Neutral.

4.

As needed, use the fold circuit, bring the wings to
near or slightly below level. Set fold circuit to Neutral.
Shut off tractor.

5.

Remove spacers (page 26). Install lift-assist cylinder
locks (page 31).

6.

Remove and store outer wing lock channels
(page 31).

7.

Rotate inner wing lock channels into holders and pin
(page 33).

8.

Start tractor. Retract fold circuit.

9.

Watch outer wing sections. In a normal fold
(Figure 26), the outer wings fold first.
If the outer wings do not fold first (as in Figure 27),
STOP. Perform step 4, 6 and step 8 above.

Electrocution and Overhead Collision Hazards:
Do not fold with outer wings locks installed. Remove outer
wings locks before folding. With locks installed, the folded
implement may be over 21 feet (6.2 m) high. This dramatically
increases the risk of electrocution from overhead lines, with or
without direct contact. It is also too high for safe transport.

10. When both wings are seated in the wing rest cradles,

set the fold circuit to Float.

11. Retract lift circuit to lower lift-assist cylinders onto

lock channels. Set lift circuit to Float. Shut off tractor.

12. Install wing pins (page 31).

For parking/storage/service, lower the implement onto
parking stands.
