Weight Transfer Setup - 2011

Refer to Figure 41
1.

In field conditions, unfold implement (page 37) and
leave raised.

2.

Put tractor in Park and set parking brake.

3.

Release the bypass valve lock disc

. Turn the

bypass valve knob

fully clockwise (closed), then

open one turn. Tighten lock disc.

4.

Set tractor to half throttle. Adjust tractor flow control
valve to a low rate, but high enough that wings
fold/unfold at a reasonable speed. Keep tractor
running for step 5 through step 10.

Note: The faster the flow of oil through the system the

greater potential for oil heating, premature wear or
tractor damage.

5.

In field conditions, unfold (page 37), lower implement
(page 35), and set or check coulter depth (page 54).

6.

Pull forward to put coulters in ground.

7.

Set tractor remote circuit for unfold. Lock lever for
continuous operation.

8.

Release reducing valve lock discs (

and

). Adjust

pressure reducing valve knobs ( and

) until the

pressure gauges reads 1200 psi (83 bar) each.
Never exceed 1400 psi (97 bar).

9.

While watching pressure gauges, release bypass
valve lock disc

. Slowly open valve knob

until

both gauges read approximately 1100 psi (76 bar).
Pressure might rise and then fall off as knob is
opened. If pressure exceeds 1400 psi (97 bar)
during this step, the tractor flow is too high; reduce
tractor flow. Set bypass valve lock disc

at 1100 psi.

10. Adjust Inside Wing pressure reducing valve knob

to 650-900 psi (45-62 bar) pressure setting, never
exceeding 1100 psi (76 bar). Adjust Outside Wing
valve knob

to 650-750 psi (45-52 bar) pressure

setting, never exceeding 1000 psi. Set lock discs (
and

).

11. In field operation, Lock the tractor hydraulic lever for

the fold circuit for continuous downward oil flow. If
wings are running too high, increase pressure
setting to the appropriate valve (

and/or

) to level

machine. If center is too high, decrease pressure
setting with knob

on Inside Wing valve.

Machine Damage Risk:
Never leave tractor valve centered (Neutral) when unfolded
with machine in motion. Machine damage may occur when
wings flex up or down.
