A redundant storage system contains three cooling fans, and a nonredundant storage

system contains two cooling fans. If the amber cooling fan fault indicator

lights

up (see Figure 7-1) or the HP OpenView NNM SE x.x and the Dell OpenManage
HIP x.x server management programs issue a fan-related error message, replace the
fan as described in "Replacing a Cooling Fan," found later in this chapter.
