Defect ID: DEFECT000301286 Technical Severity: High
Summary: Routes are not properly redistributed after trunk group loses a trunk member.
Symptom: In a setup with 8G switches running exchanged base route policy, the routes are not
rebalanced properly after a trunk group loses a member. This may cause performance to
be sluggish on 8G switches fabric if there happens to be a slow drain device using the
lower bandwidth links to further congest the fabric. This only impacts 8G switches.
Workaround: Keep trunk groups with equal bandwidth.

Summary: Constant link resets occur when a long distance port is configured.
Symptom: After configuring a long distance E_Port that requires 128 to 511 credits the customer
observes continuously link timeout with no traffic running. Constant stream of C2-5021.
This, only, affects 8G platforms.
Workaround: Use QOS mode

Summary: Switch panics, blade faults, or switch is disabled when credit loss is detected on backend
link.
Symptom: When credit loss happens on internal backend port, RASLOG C-5021 or C2-5021 is
reported with “S#,P-1(#)”. If this happens on:
• FR4-18i: Blade is faulted.
• Brocade 4900,5300 and7500: Switch is faulted/disabled.
• All other switches/directors: hareboot/hafailover will eventually happen.
