NOTE:

You can adjust the speaker volume only when the telephone line is connected.

Press <On Hook Dial>. A dial tone sounds from the speaker.

Press the scroll button ( or ) until you hear the loudness you want. The display shows the current
volume level.

2.

Press <On Hook Dial> to save the change and return to Standby mode.

3.

Toll Save Mode

The Toll Save mode can be used to save scanned documents for transmission at a specified time in order to
take advantage of lower long distance rates.

To turn the Toll Save mode on:

Press <Menu> until "Advanced Fax" appears on the top line of the display.

Press the scroll button ( or ) until you see "Toll Save"on the bottom line and press <Select>.

2.

Press the scroll button ( or ) until "On" displays on the bottom line and press <Select>.

3.

Press <Select> when "Start Time" displays on the bottom line.

4.

Enter the time and date when your multi-function printer starts sending toll save faxes, using the
number keypad.

5.

To select "AM" or "PM" for 12-hour format, press the

or the

button.

Press <Select> when the starting time on the display is correct.

6.

Press the scroll button ( or ) to display "End Time" and press <Select>.

7.

Enter the time and date when the toll save transmission ends, using the number keypad.

8.

Press <Select> to save the setting.

9.

To return to Standby mode, press <Return>.

10.

Once Toll Save mode is activated, your multi-function printer stores all of the documents to be faxed into its
memory and sends them at the programmed time.

To turn Toll Save mode off, follow steps 1 and 2 above and then press the scroll button ( or ) until "Off"
displays at the bottom line and press <Select>.
