IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

We recommend that this performance part be installed by a qualified

motorcycle technician. If you have any doubts as to your ability to install

this performance part, please consult with your local motorcycle dealer.

Read all instructions first before starting installation. Make sure the

motorcycle and exhaust system are completely cool before starting the

installation. Also, make sure the bike is secure on a centerstand or ideally

a service lift during installation. Be sure to save all stock components for

possible use later.

Installation Instructions

1. Make sure the bike is completely cool before starting the

installation. Make sure the bike is secure on a centerstand
or ideally a service lift.

2. Loosen the bottom clamp where the stock headpipe

connects to the muffler.

3. Loosen and remove the top muffler mounting bolt.

4. Remove the stock muffler assembly with a pulling/

twisting motion to help spin the gasket free.

5. Slide the included V.A.L.E.

TM

X-Rings over the TBR S-bends,

being sure to note that there are separate mufflers for the
left and right side. Use the 6x14mm socket head cap screws
and split lock washers to loosely attach X-Ring to muffler.

6. Slide the muffler clamp over the TBR S-bend, and slide

the muffler canister clamp over the muffler canister.

7. Slide the TBR muffler assembly onto the bike, and use the

included spacer and bolt to loosely mount the canister to
the bike as shown.

8. Straighten and align the muffler until you are satisfied

with the fit on the bike.

9. Once the muffler is properly aligned, tighten the muffler

mounting bolt, followed by the V.A.L.E.

TM

screws, and

lastly the bottom barrel clamp.

10. Repeat steps 2-9 for the other side of the bike.

11. Before you run the bike, clean off all fingerprints and

dirt, as any oily residue will etch the metal and become
somewhat permanent when the system gets hot. Also,
remove any plastic film from the name badges. Run the
bike and enjoy. It is normal for some white smoke to
appear the first time you start the bike. This is packing/
manufacturing oil from inside the pipe burning off.
Check for gaps or leaks. If you find a leak, a little high
temperature silicon sealant should fix it. After 50 to 100
miles, recheck all fasteners for tightness.
