Adjusting the Sound Field

Your stereo has been set to three
recommended surround effects.
Choose from among these three
programmed settings according to the type
of software you have.

1 Press one of the programmed surround

effect buttons (HALL, LIVE, or
THEATER) on the amplifier, or DSP
MODE on the remote repeatedly until
your desired programmed surround
effect appears in the display.

Each time vou press DSP MODE, the
display changes as follows:

Press DSP LEVEL on the remote to

select the DSP level.
Each time you press DSP LEVEL, the
level changes as follows:

LEVEL 0 — LEVEL 1 — LEVEL 2 — LEVEL 3

Surround effect becomes stronger in
order of LEVEL 0, LEVEL 1, LEVEL 2,
and LEVEL 3.

Press ENTER/NEXT.

To turn off the programmed
surround effect

Press the lighted programmed surround

effect button (HALL, LIVE, or THEATER)
on the amplifier.
Or press DSP MODE on the remote
repeatedly until "SURROUND OFF"
appears in the display.

Note

When you choose another sound effect, the
surround effects will be canceled.
If you want to keep the sound effect you
selected, store it into a personal file. See
"Making a Personal Audio Emphasis File
(personal file)."

Making a Personal

Audio Emphasis File

(personal file)

You can create up to five personal audio
emphasis files and store them in the
player's memory. Later, call up an audio
pattern to play a favorite tape, CD, or radio
program.

Adjust the audio emphasis to your
preference (See "Selecting the Audio
Emphasis" or "Adjusting the Audio
Emphasis" for details).

Press MEMORY.
"MEMORY" appears and "F 1 - 5"
flashes in the display.

Press one of the FILE 1-5 buttons.

"MEMORY" disappears and the

number of the personal file you selected
appears in the display.

To call up a personal file

Press FILE SELECT (or MUSIC MENU

on the remote) repeatedly until the P

FILE indicator lights up. Then press one of
the FILE 1 - 5 (or MUSIC MENU ◄/►on
the remote).

To erase a personal file

Store a new audio emphasis setting over
the personal file you want to erase.

Note

If you press DSP MODE on the remote
when you choose one of the preset settings
(SELECT 5 and MORE 5), the preset setting

will be canceled automatically.
