Gateway IP Address the address of the network node that connects to another network. The
agent looks at the destination or SNMP Manager or Host IP address to see if the destination is on
a different network (the Subnet mask is used to determine the real network destination). If the
network manager is located on a different network, the datagram will be routed to the Default
Gateway. To enter the Default Gateway IP Address, select "2," then press <Enter>.

• Subnet Mask defines a mask that is used to determine which portion of an IP address is the

network ID. The network portion bits must be set to "1." The host portion bits may be set to "1"
to define a subnetwork.

• Aging Time the value governs how long a MAC address stays in the forwarding database before

it is discarded.

• Enable Download Select TFTP and/or FTP for firmware upgrades or disable download function.

Enable BOOTP Mode allows the Management Program to obtain its IP address from a BOOTP
server. If BOOTP is enabled, BOOTP requests are broadcast periodically to the local network
until a reply is received or the operator presses <Esc> to continue. Disable BOOTP after the IP
address is set or received.

Static ARP Table lists the IP address, Mac Address, and port for each permanently installed
manager. If the IP host information is listed, the 9135G will not issue ARP requests.

Management VLAN Number the number of the Virtual LAN (VLAN) that the 9135G belongs to.
Default is "1."

Management VLAN Enabled "Yes" limits access to only the selected VLAN number.
"No" allows access from all locations. Default is "No."

3.2.1.2 Host Table / SNMP Settings
Configure the Host Table and SNMP Settings to determine which traps are sent to pre-determined
Network Manager Stations. Certain IP addresses can be selected and configured for the access level
for each host to Read, Write, and/or receive traps. By default, a Trap Community is defined as
"public" for the Read Community and as "private" for the Write Community; however, these settings
can be changed from this menu. See Figure 17.
