3.2.5.1 Ping
Ping is a diagnostic routine that sends a signal (Ping) to a known remote unit that can receive it and
return a reply.
Enter the address of the unit to be Pinged, the number of Pings to transmit (0-999; 0 is infinite) and
select "Start Pinging." This verifies that the link to the remote unit is valid and provides the round trip
time. To stop Ping, press <Esc>. See Figure 32 for Ping screens.
