Disconnect the tubing from the cadmium column assembly and plug the ends with the two black

plugs that were set aside during unpacking. Connect the two nuts that were removed from the
cadmium column with the translucent coupling nut that was set aside during unpacking. Do
NOT return the cadmium column assembly with the analyzer.

Fill the second standard reagent bag with purified water and attach to the sample inlet fitting via

the tubing assembly.

Locate the six reagent lines (previously attached to reagent bags) and place them into a vessel

that contains approximately 500 mL of purified water.

Connect to the 9600 via a computer running NUview software and run the predeployment test to

assure that the system is flushed thoroughly.

Remove the second standard bag from the inlet port and replace with the inlet filter and its

guard. Remove the reagent lines from the water vessel and allow to hang down into the lower
compartment of the carousel.

Close the pinch clamps on the waste bags and remove them from the carousel. Do NOT return

the waste bags with the instrument.

Reassemble the 9600 by placing the carousel into the outer shell and attaching the four assembly

screws.
