COMMANDS



The following section provides a description of all EcoWatch functions. Examples shown in the
discussion use water quality parameters from 6-series sondes rather than nitrate data from a Model 9600,
but the functionality of the commands is identical for both applications. As noted above, several of the
commands in EcoWatch are used to communicate to 6-series sondes and these commands are not relevant
for use with the 9600.

7.6.1 FILE

The File menu offers the following list of commands. Some commands are available only when a file is
open.

OPEN


Use this to open sonde or 9600 data file (.DAT).


File Name

Type or select the filename you want to open. This box lists files with the extensions you
select in the List Files of Type box.


List of Files of Type

Select the type of file that you want to open.

*.dat

Sonde or 9600 binary data file

*.txt, *prn

ASCII text file

*.cdf, .csv, .sdf Comma delimited file
*.rt

Real-time

*.cr1

Drives

Select the drive where the YSI Data Format file resides.


Directories

Select the directory where the YSI Data Format file resides.
