Air conditioning

The switch for air-recirculation mode is
in the control panel (
୴ page 218).
̈ To switch on: press the Ä
switch.
The indicator lamp in the switch
comes on.
̈ To switch off: press the Ä
switch again.
The indicator lamp in the switch goes
out.
The engine stores residual heat after
long periods of driving. You can use the
residual heat of the engine to heat the
stationary vehicle for a further 30 min-
utes.
̈ To switch on: turn key to position 0
in the ignition lock ( ୴ page 111) or
remove it.
̈ Set as required:
ț temperature (୴ page 220)
ț air distribution (୴ page 221)
ț the air vents (୴ page 215)
̈ Press the ° switch
( ୴ page 218).

̈ To switch off: press ° switch
again ( ୴ page 218).
The indicator lamp in the switch goes
out.

Air-recirculation mode is automati-
cally switched off after about 10 to
30 minutes, depending on the out-
side temperature.
Residual heat mode

The heating period depends on:
ț the coolant temperature
ț the interior temperature selected
ț the on-board voltage
The blower runs at speed 1 regard-
less of the position of the airflow
control.
