̈ To switch off: press the Ä switch
again.
The indicator lamp in the switch goes
out.
The engine stores residual heat after long
periods of driving. You can use the residual
heat of the engine to heat the stationary
vehicle for a further 30 minutes.
̈ To switch on: turn key to position 0 in
the ignition lock ( ୴ page 67) or re-
move it.
̈ Set as required:
ț temperature (୴ page 132)
ț air distribution (୴ page 133)
ț the air vents (୴ page 129)
̈ Press the ° switch (୴ page 131).

frosted windows and dehumidification in
the vehicle interior.

Air-recirculation mode is automatically
switched off after about 10 to 30 min-
utes, depending on the outside temper-
ature.
Residual heat mode

The heating period depends on:
ț the coolant temperature
ț the interior temperature selected
ț the on-board voltage
The blower runs at speed 1 regardless
of the position of the airflow control.

Residual heat switches off automati-
cally:
ț after about 30 minutes
ț when you switch on the ignition
ț if the battery’s voltage drops
