Windshield wipers

Always have maintenance work carried out
at an authorized Sprinter Dealer which has
the necessary specialist knowledge and
tools to carry out the work required.
The manufacturer recommends that you use
an authorized Sprinter Dealer for this pur-
pose.
In particular, work relevant to safety or on
safety-related systems must be carried out
at an authorized Sprinter Dealer. There is a
risk of an accident and injury if this work is
carried out incorrectly.
Problem Possible cause/result Suggested solutions
The windshield wipers are jammed. Leaves or snow, for example, are hindering
the movement of the windshield wipers.
The wiper motor has switched off.
̈ Stop the vehicle as soon as possible
and, for safety reasons, remove the
key from the ignition lock.
̈ Remove the cause of the obstruction.
̈ Switch on the windshield wipers
again.
The windshield wipers have stopped work-
ing completely.
The windshield wiper drive has malfunc-
tioned.
̈ Select a different wiper speed on the
combination switch.
̈ Have the windshield wipers checked
at an authorized Sprinter Dealer .
