Chapter 3. OPERATION
This chapter describes the operation of the SNM-1000.
3.1 Front Panel
The front panel of the SNM-1000 (Figure 3-1) provides for monitoring modem
configuration and status.

The front panel features include:
• 32- character, two-line LCD display
• Six-button keypad for local control
• Eight LED's to provide overall status at a glance
These functions are accessible at the front panel by entering on of five pre-defined
function select categories or levels:

• Faults/Alarms
• Stored Faults/Alarms
• Utility
