Battery Installation
WARNING! Improperly connecting or disconnecting battery
cables can result in an explosion and cause serious injury or
death. When removing the battery, always disconnect the
negative (black) cable first. When reinstalling the battery, always
connect the negative (black) cable last.
1. Ensure the front battery box tabs are engaged with the
inner box slots. Replace any damaged or missing foam
pads. Slide the battery into the battery box with termi-
nals forward.
2. Tip the front battery box toward the inner box and
install the top bolt. Torque to specification.
3. Install the positive (+) battery cable first. Torque the
bolt to specification. Install the red protective boot
over the terminal.
4. Install the negative (-) cable last. Torque the bolt to specification.
5. Reinstall all remaining components.
