❏ Epson recommends the use of genuine Epson ink cartridges. The use of non-genuine ink may

cause damage that is not covered by Epson’s warranties, and under certain circumstances, may
cause erratic printer behavior. Epson cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of non-genuine
ink. The ink cartridge status is not displayed when non-genuine ink is used.

❏ Leave the old cartridge installed in the printer until you have obtained a replacement; otherwise,

ink remaining in the print head nozzles may dry out.

❏ You cannot continue printing with one ink cartridge expended, even if the other cartridges still

contain ink. Before printing, replace the expended cartridge.

❏ Never turn off the printer while replacing the ink cartridge. Doing so may damage the IC chip on

the ink cartridge and the printer may not print properly.

❏ To ensure you receive premium print quality and to help protect your print head, a variable ink

safety reserve remains in the cartridge when your printer indicates to replace the cartridge. The
yields quoted for you do not include this reserve.
