8. ALARMS

There are 10 alarms which generate both audible and visual alarms: Arrival
alarm, Anchor Watch Alarm, XTE Alarm, Border Alarm, Proximity Alarm, Speed
Alarm, Trip Log Alarm, Temperature Alarm, Shear Alarm, Bottom Alarm.

When an alarm setting is violated, the buzzer sounds and the speaker icon
( )and type of alarm appear. You may silence the buzzer by pressing the
[CLEAR] key. The icon remains on the screen until the cause of the alarm is
removed or the alarm is deactivated. When an alarm setting is occurred again,
the buzzer sounds and the speaker icon appears.
