Adding a node to a single-node cluster

All nodes in the new cluster must run the same version of VCS. The example
procedure refers to the existing single-node VCS node as Node A. The node that
is to join Node A to form a multiple-node cluster is Node B.

Table 8-3

specifies the activities that you need to perform to add nodes to a

single-node cluster.

Reference

Task

See

“Setting up a node to join the single-node

cluster”

on page 144.

Node A.

See

“Installing and configuring Ethernet cards

for private network”

on page 144.

Add Ethernet cards for private
heartbeat network for Node B.

If necessary, add Ethernet cards for
private heartbeat network for Node
A.
