Configure VCS after using -installonly option to install

VCS.

-configure

See the -responsefile and the -encrypt options.

-enckeyfile

encryption_key_file

Encrypt password using the encryption key that is provided
with the -enckeyfile option so that the encrypted password

can be stored in response files.

-encrypt password

Specifies the location of a file that contains the system names
for the installer.

-hostfile

Install product RPMs on systems without configuring VCS.

See

“Installing VCS using installonly option”

on page 59.

-installonly

Display VCS packages in correct installation order. Output
can be used to create scripts for command line installs, or for
installations over a network. See the requiredpkgs option.

-installpkgs

Specifies a key file for SSH. The option passes -i

ssh_key_file

with each SSH invocation.

-keyfile

ssh_key_file

Register or update product licenses on the specified systems.
Useful for replacing demo license.

-license

Specifies that log_path, not /opt/VRTS/install/logs, is the
location where installvcs log files, summary file, and response
file are saved.

-logpath log_path

Specifies that additional product RPMs such as VxVM and
VxFS need not be installed.

Note:

VCS product upgrades in the future can be simplified

if you do not install additional product RPMs.

-noextrapkgs

Install product RPMs on systems without licensing or
configuration. License-based features or variants are not
installed when using this option.

-nolic
