PRECAUTIONS

6. TROUBLESHOOTING

Check once again before assuming the set is malfunctioning. The problem may be due to inadequate mainte-
nance, erroneous operation, etc.

If the problem persists after the following checks have been made, contact a dealer.

Notes on the input signal

The video may not be displayed normally if any of the following signals is input.
¶ VCR signal obtained after repeated dubbing (copies).
¶ VCR or DVD signal containing copy guard signal.
¶ Other signal than the standard NTSC signal.

Notes on the input images

1. Colored characters or characters on color

background may be hard to read due to color
blur. (When displaying characters, it is recom-
mended to use those without colors or display
them on a background without colors.)

2. When the image contains areas with fine lines,

the horizontal lines may become hard to view
due to flickering.

Note on genlocking

The system does not incorporate the genlocking
function. This means that the signal output from
the system is not synchronized with the signal
input to it.

Note on screen burns

When the system has displayed a still image, re-
sidual images (screen burns) may remain on the
screens.
