Chapter 2 Installing hardware and software
Your system now has a number of new device nodes (/dev/ttySR*) relating to the ports on
the new RTA.
Note
To check that the port is present and available, type
stty -a </dev/ttySR32
at the command
prompt and press the
Enter
key.
The port name can be determined by the RTA offset in the rio.cf file (
page 164
) added to the port
offset on the RTA i.e. the 4th port on RTA "RTA16 Ports 16-31" is 16 + 4 or /dev/ttySR20.
