Switching the subtitle language during playback - DVDs
Switching with the remote control unit
Press the SUBTITLE button
repeatedly while the DVD is
playing.
When pressed once, the currently selected
subtitle language is displayed. Press again
to switch to other subtitle languages
recorded on the DVD.
Notes:
• The subtitle language can only be
switched when multiple subtitle
languages are recorded on the DVD.
• To turn the subtitles off, press the
SUBTITLE button, then press the CLEAR
button. With some discs it is not possible
to turn the subtitles off.
• With DVDs, the subtitle language can also
be switched using the disc’s menu
screen. To do so, press the MENU button
to display the menu screen, then select
the subtitle language.
• When the resume function is turned off
or when the disc is removed from the
player, the subtitle language selected here
is canceled and the subtitle language
returns to the language selected under
“Setting the subtitle language” (page 63)
on the setup screen. When the resume
function is on, however, the subtitle
language selected here is valid.
