Manual WEP key
Depending on the types of wireless devices, the KX-HGW600 may create the different
WEP key regardless of the same passphrase. In this case, select Manual and enter the
same WEP key as that of the corresponding wireless device and select one of the
default keys.
For 40(64) bit WEP key, enter the same 10 digits of hexadecimal values in each key
(1 to 4) and select one of the default keys. Set the same 40(64) bit WEP key as the
KX-HGW600 to the corresponding wireless device and select one of the default keys.
For 128 bit WEP key, enter the same 26 digits of hexadecimal values.
<Example>
• When the same four WEP keys are entered on the KX-HGW600 and the wireless
devices, the KX-HGW600 can communicate with the wireless devices.
• When the different WEP keys are entered on the wireless devices, the KX-HGW600
cannot communicate with the wireless devices.
Note
If the different Default Keys are selected but the same four WEP keys are entered
on the KX-HGW600 and the wireless devices, the KX-HGW600 can communicate
with the wireless devices.
