The availability of a specific button or function
is indicated by its appearance. Depending on
the status of your vehicle, some buttons will
be available, while others will not be.

Active touch panel key: The button is operable.

Inactive touch panel key: The function is not
available (e.g., operation is prohibited while
driving).

Basic Navigation

CAUTION

For safety reasons, you cannot use some of these
basic navigation functions while your vehicle is in
motion. To enable these functions, you must stop
in a safe place and apply the parking brake (refer
to To ensure safe driving on page 22).

Basic flow of operation

Park your vehicle in a safe place, and

apply the parking brake.

Press MENU button to display the navi-

gation menu.

Select the method of searching for your

destination.

Enter the information about your desti-

nation to calculate route.

Confirm the location on the map.

Check and decide the route.

Your navigation system sets the route

to your destination, and the map of your
surroundings appears.

After releasing the parking brake, drive

in accordance with the navigation informa-
tion, subject to the important safety in-
structions noted on Important Safety
Information on page 21
and Additional
Safety Information on page 22.

Calculating your destination by
using Address Search
