Subscriber Unit Basic Settings

Log into the SU. To receive a comprehensive snapshot of the system’s configuration info and status, type the command

Many of these parameters can be changed by the user. A description of each of these changeable parameters, along with
the related command, is shown in the table below.

Important!

When changing settings, it is usually necessary to type the save ss command in order to update the

radio’s flash memory. If you do not type the save ss command, the setting will be lost the next time the radio is
rebooted or power cycled. The command save ss is equivalent to the command updateflash systemsetting.

system for SU authentication.

Opmode

Current Opmode of radio.

opmode su [< y>]
This sets the radio in Opmode “SU.” To set the radio
in Opmode “OFF,” reboot and access radio via
Ethernet port within the first 30 seconds.

Default Opmode

Determines the Opmode (“SU”
or “OFF”) of the radio after
reboot/power cycle. When the
parameter is set to “SU,” the
