Enter the new SIP authentication password. Press MENU to save the change. Alternatively,
press PHONEBOOK to return to the previous screen.

6.3.11 Codec Selection

When the V300 makes a SIP call, it negotiates the voice codec (coder / decoder) it uses for the
call with the SIP server. Both devices must be able to use the same codec. You can set three
codecs for the V300 to use. If the SIP server cannot use the first codec you set, the V300 tries
to use the second codec. If the SIP server cannot use the second codec, the V300 tries to use
the third.
Use the 1st Codec Sel menu to set the main (primary) voice codec, and use the 2nd and 3rd
Codec Sel
menus to set the secondary and tertiary (backup) codecs.

Make no changes in these screens unless your service provider told you to.

Select 1st Codec Sel, 2nd Codec Sel or 3rd Codec Sel in the Adv Setting > SIP Setting
menu. This example uses the 1st Codec Sel screen.

This screen shows the codec currently in use. Press MENU to select a different codec, or press
PHONEBOOK to return to the previous screen.

6.3.11.1 Codec Edit

Press MENU in the Adv Setting > SIP Setting > 1st / 2nd / 3rd Codec Selection screen. A
screen similar to the following displays (this example uses the 1st Codec Sel screen).
