Discrete Bit Data
When the Genius item is
expanded, four types of discrete
data can be set:
Discrete bits passed from the
Genius to the drive.
Discrete bits passed from the
drive to the Genius.
Expand the Discrete Bits item to
view all the bits.
Right-mouse click on the bit. The
Modify dialog box displays.
Select a parameter or
variable for this bit. Note: To
view parameter and variable
numbers, from the Options
menu, select Setting, and
the tab AVDV Series Drive,
then select Abbreviated
Names (You must be a Level
4: Full Drive Access user.)
The Type of bit displays
automatically (either None,
BOOL, or CMD).
Enter a note to define this bit.
View Discrete Data

To view discrete data

Click on to expand Discrete Bits .
A list of the bits displays
(including the description of the
paramater/variable for this bit).
When Discrete Bits is highlighted, the
Summary View displays all the data for the
bits. (Note: Bit 3 does not display because no
data is defined for that bit.)
