Directed Control Data and Global Data

Two types of word data can be set in the Genius configuration:

Directed Data (Master->Device) – data passed from the Genius to the drive

Global Data (Device->Master) – data passed from the drive to the Genius

To set word data

Note: To view parameter and
variable numbers, from the
Options menu, select Setting,
and the tab AVDV Series Drive,
then select Abbreviated Names.
(You must be a Level 4: Full Drive
Access user.)

Select a Source to determine the
priority and destination of the data
received (To) as Directed Data or
sent (From) as Global data.
If you select
Low Priority To/From Device or
High Priority To/From Device
select the Description name of
the parameter/variable for this
word and the Type automatically
displays.

Enter a note, if desired.

If you select
Low Priority To/From Option
(only available with the Digital
General Function (DGF) board),
select an integer Description
associated with parameters/
variables on the Option board.
Enter a value from 0 to 65532.

Select the Type of parameter/
variable (INT and UINT are 16-bit
and all others are 32-bit).

If you select
Discrete Bit Word To/From
Device
the Description can be
High Priority or Low Priority.

Right mouse click on
the Word and select
Modify. The following
dialog box displays.
