Antex StudioCard 5-9

Active adapter numbers are determined by the settings in the
Antex Audio Driver Setup box which is accessed through the
Windows Control Panel. (Refer to Chapter 1, Software and
Driver Installation.) An adapter number is active if StudioCard
is selected in the Select Adapter box for that adapter number.
For example, with one card installed, if StudioCard is selected
in the box next to the radio button for adapter number 2, it will
be assigned adapter number 2 and its green LED will be
illuminated. If a second card is installed, and StudioCard is
selected in the Select Adapter box for adapter number 1, then
one card will be assigned adapter number 1 and the other will
be assigned adapter number 2.

The Demo and Mixer programs display the adapter number as
the first character in the wave device name. For example in
the Antex Demo, a typical wave device name appearing in the
Wave Device box is: 2 - Antex StudioCard/1 Wave Out.

In this example, the first character is 2—that is, the number of
the adapter the wave device resides on. In this case, wave
device 1 on adapter number 2 is specified.

The Antex Mixer, which plays an important role when
configuring a synchronous multiple card system, is an adapter-
specific application. The adapter being controlled by the Mixer
is determined by clicking on the desired adapter selection in
the Mixer menu. Active adapters are listed as n - Antex
StudioCard
Mixer, where n is the adapter number.
