Saving TcpIP settings in Prism
When you select the option to “Save” on the Host Communication Protocol Settings menu, the
settings are saved by Prism. There was a situation addressed in this release, where it was
required to save the settings twice before they took affect.
Port Number Reset
On the Host Communication Protocol Settings menu, there is an option for Port Number. This
release corrected the situation where the Port Number was incorrectly reset to the default (2000)
after a system reboot.
LYNK message format
On the Host Communication Protocol Settings menu, there is an option for Message Format. If
the option was set to LYNK, the terminal was not sending the host message with the 8-byte
header as required.
OAR Screens closing terminal
This release addressed the situation where OAR screens are displayed very quickly and then the
transaction session is terminated. Screen overlays were blindly concatenating voice data.
Previously, as a workaround the Field.acf file was modified to disable the Voice service. Since
this release addresses the underlying issue, the TLF also installs a Field.acf file that enables the
Voice service.
EscG
Screen EscG has an option for “1 – Mosaic Character Set”. This option isn’t supported by
Prism. However, a modification was made to display the EscG values “)i” as “->”.
Dispense Bills Threshold
In previous releases, when the customer requested more than the maximum number of bills
allowed by the dispenser, the terminal responded to the function command by sending a solicited
status to the host with a dispenser error code of “58” (Count error, too many bills dispensed).
This caused the host to take the dispenser out of service. This release changes the behavior so
that the solicited status message is no longer sent in this situation.
Cards Captured when Invalid Track2
In previous releases, terminals with motorized card readers would automatically capture the card
when the Track2 data was invalid or missing. This release changed the functionality to display
“Bad Card Read” and return the card to the customer.
Traffic Light support
This release added On/Off support for RemoteLight1, RemoteLight2, and RemoteLight3.
