Encryption Window

The Encryption window allows you to back up the encryption key in the Remote Web Console
computer and restore the backed up encryption key. This key is used to encrypt and decrypt data
in the storage system. To back up or restore the key, the Encryption Administrator role must be set
to Enable. For detailed information about the displayed items, see the HP XP24000/XP20000
Disk Encryption User Guide
.

E-mail Information Window

The E-mail Information window allows you to configure settings to automatically send email for
any SIMs caused by software licensing events or XP Thin Provisioning threshold events. You can
also send a test email. These threshold events typically require user action. They are caused either
by reaching the trigger levels configured by the user or by a software license needing user attention.

A mail server is required for email notice. The SMTP is used to send emails. You can choose whether
to use SMTP authentication. If a firewall is used, open port 25.
