Your video device cannot be operated

Your video device cannot be operated.

• Make sure the power to the video device is turned

on.

• Make sure the DV device input mode is established.
• Make sure the tape is inserted in the video device.
• Make sure the cable is connected properly.
• If the cable is connected to the AV input/output

terminal of the video device, the device cannot be
operated in some cases.
Unplug the cable from the AV input/output terminal
of the video device.

• Make sure there is nothing wrong with the video

device connected.

• Do not use functions to display the menu, etc. on the

video device. It cannot be operated properly.

• Make sure the video device connected is made by

Panasonic.

• The personal computer may be in an unstable state.

Exit MotionDV STUDIO, and then reboot the
personal computer.

No video in your video device is displayed on the

personal computer.

• Make sure the tape where video is recorded is

inserted in the video device.

• Even if you operate from the personal computer to

play the video, it may take a short while until video is
displayed on the screen of the personal computer
after the video is displayed on the video device.

• If 2 video devices are connected, check to see if the

player (input) and the recorder (output) are selected
correctly.

• The personal computer may be in an unstable state.

Exit MotionDV STUDIO, and then reboot the
personal computer.

• If the head of the video device is dirty, video cannot

be imported normally.
Use a digital video head cleaner to clean the heads.
(For details, refer to the operating instructions of the
video device.)
