• When using the MotionDV STUDIO, the personal

computer may become unstable or the MotionDV
STUDIO may abort.
Although depending on the usage of the personal
computer, video editing requires a great deal of a
personal computer’s CPU capacity and as a result the
personal computer may become unstable. It is
recommended to frequently save edited data.

• If videos in the Frame Moving Image Format are

captured and rendered by applying a video effect or
transition effect, they will become field images and the
picture quality will be the same as that of the field
videos.

• During outputting (recording), the bottom of the video

displayed in the output device screen (e.g. video of a
LCD monitor or of a TV set) may be distorted, or
oscillate up and down. But this is not a malfunction. This
does not affect recorded images.

• When recording data by use of a video device

(NV-DV10000 or NV-DV2000) not equipped with the
blank search function, you cannot select [Record from
blank space] to record data.

• After inserting the DV tape, ensure 10 seconds before

operation.

• If you connect a digital video camera without the DV

tape and insert it after starting MotionDV STUDIO, the
operation buttons may not be properly displayed.
However, there is no problem with the operation. The
operation buttons will be normally displayed by clicking
Stop [∫] button.

• When you use MotionDV STUDIO, use the AC adaptor

as the power source of the notebook-sized personal
computer or video devices. If you use batteries, the
recording, calibrating or capturing of the data may not be
performed properly. Furthermore, the performance of
the CPU may be limited depending on the settings on
the personal computer. (In this case, frame drop
becomes liable to occur.)

• If you click the Stop button [∫] when operating the input

tape, the time code may become [00:00:00:00]. (The
preceding time code is restored when you perform
playback or other operation.)

• Do not turn off the video device when you are using

MotionDV STUDIO.
If you turn it off, MotionDV STUDIO may become
inoperable.

• Do not disconnect the cable when you are using

MotionDV STUDIO (while you transfer the data etc.).
MotionDV STUDIO may not work properly or the data
being transferred may be damaged.

• Do not connect 3 or more video devices. The connection

of 3 or more units is not supported.

• WAV (uncompressed) files cannot be used for audio mix
