Video cannot be imported from the video device

The Preview screen of MotionDV STUDIO gets

smaller during import.

• This is not a malfunction.

The import operation uses a very high percentage of
the processing power (load on the CPU) of the
personal computer. In the initial setting, the preview
screen is reduced in size to display the videos
smoothly.
You can select [Tools] >> [Settings] and change the
setting in [Preview size] on the [Video] setting
screen.

Video capture by use of Index and Mark-in &

Mark-out cannot performed normally.

• If you replace the tape in the video device after you

use Index and Mark-in & Mark-out, you cannot
capture video well.

• Sometimes you cannot capture video well in the

vicinity of the leading edge of a tape.

A short time cannot be set upon tape editing.

• It is impossible to set less than 2 seconds of video.

If you set multiple video clips in tape editing, at least
2 seconds must be ensured between 2 indexes and
between Mark-in and Mark-out.

Frames drop during an import.

• Run the defragmentation utility.

Select [start] >> [All Programs (Programs)] >>
[Accessories] >> [System Tools] >> [Disk
Defragmenter], then select the volume (disk) to be
defragmented, and click [Defragment] (or [OK]
depending on the OS).

• When software (e.g. resident software) other than

MotionDV STUDIO is running, frame drop may
occur.
When using MotionDV STUDIO, we recommend
closing other software.

• Select [Tools] >> [Settings] and select [If some

frames are missing, rewind and join them up.] in
[Capture saving] on the [Video] setting screen. Then
the tape is rewound to 5 seconds before the tape
