5.1 Machine Screen 5
9 [Help] Pressed to display the help message which provides
information on the screen currently displayed. De-
pending on the screen, [
] may be grayed out and
no help message can be displayed.
Pressing it on the Machine Screen display instructions
for each of adding toner, replacing toner recovery
boxes, adding staples, disposing punch waste or
trimmings, adding glue pellets, and loading paper.
10 Output information indicator Indicates the print count, set count, and job number of
the current job while printing.
11 Machine management information
indicator Indicates number of reserved jobs and memory
amount. If the machine is equipped with Paper Feed-
er Unit (with scanner) PF-705, it also indicates Orig-
inal Counter and File Amount.
12 Scanner message Indicates the original scanning status of the ADF/orig-
inal glass.
13 [Execute Sample Print] Pressed to make a sample print during an output job.
This key is displayed when the machine is mounted
with Image Controller IC-601.
14 Machine configuration display Displays the configuration of main body and options.
15 [Size]/[Size (Unit: mm)] Switches the custom size indication between [Cus-
tom] and [mm/inch]. The sizes are displayed in millim-
eters by default. Switching between millimeters and
inches can be made from the Utility Menu Screen. See
page 10-23 for details.
16 Tray information indicator (tray 1 to
tray 9) Displays paper size, orientation, name, weight, and
paper amount remaining in the tray.
The tray with thin coated paper setting made will dis-
play "*" in the Weight area, if you also set the paper
type to Coated-GL/ML/GO/MO and the weight to 81-
105 g/m

17 Tray information indicator (Upper
tray and lower tray of the post insert-
er, PB cover tray) For the machine equipped with Folding Unit FD-503,
it provides information on paper size, orientation, and
paper amount of the upper tray and lower tray of the
post inserter.
For the machine equipped with Perfect Binder PB-
503 along with Folding Unit FD-503, it provides infor-
mation on paper size, name, weight, and paper
amount of the PB cover tray.
If Finisher FS-612 is mounted with Post Inserter PI-
502, it provides information on paper size and paper
amount of the upper tray and lower tray of the post
inserter.
18 Machine status indicator/right Displays [Supply], [PM Call], [Collect], [Modem Err],
[ORU-M], [Drum/Deve], fusing web exchange icon,
and [Rotation]. Up to 5 indicators can be displayed in
normal size; when 6 or more indicators are required,
small icons will substitute for the indicators that follow
[Drum/Deve].
19 [Sample Print Setting] Pressed to make a setting for sample print. This key is
displayed only on the machine mounted with Image
Controller IC-601.
20 [Curl Adjustment] Press to perform curl adjustment for each tray (tray 1
to tray 9). If Relay Unit RU-508 is mounted with Hu-
midifier HM-101, you can make the humidification
setting for each tray.
21 [Controller] Press to configure the controller.
22 [Adjustment] Press to adjust the main body and the optional equip-
ments.
