Section 3 – Using Your BT Home Monitor VP1000

This section describes the day to day use of the
BT Home Monitor VP1000 security and reporting
system.

The Control Panel

Using the Control Panel you can manage all
system functions. One set of buttons can be
found on the exterior of the panel. Those assist
you in navigating the various menu selections.
There are also four indicator lights which show
alerts and the system status. See Fig. 16.

The chime function is switched on.

POWER

The system has mains power.

More buttons are accessed by opening the flap.
These carry out one-touch operations.

Navigates backwards.

Sends a help message.

Sends a fire message and sounds
the siren.
