Step 2 - Activating the
Control Panel

The Control Panel comes with its wall mounting
bracket already fixed in place. We recommend
that you leave this in position to complete
installation and registration. Wall mounting is
explained at the end of the installation process.

CONNECTING THE POWER

Connect one end of the power adapter to the
socket at the back of the Control Panel. Plug the
other end of the adapter into a mains power
supply. Fig 1.

ACTIVATING THE BATTERY

• Flip open the cover to the Control Panel

buttons.

• Gently release and remove the battery cover

which is alongside using a screwdriver. Release
the screw to the cover where the batteries are
kept. Fig 2.

• Insert the rechargeable battery pack. Fig 3.

• Plug the battery pack into the socket on the

right hand side of the compartment. Fig 4.

• Replace the battery cover. The backup batteries

will need to charge for 24 hours before they are
fully functional.

Important: Please ignore any CHECK displays
that may appear at this time. This is because the
battery will not yet be fully charged and the
Control Panel is not yet connected to the
telephone line.
