SWITCHING ON HOME

It is possible to switch your system on when you
are at home, to protect people inside the
property. To use this setting, interior sensors
would need to be instructed to remain dormant
by giving them a HOME response type, while
perimeter sensors on doors or windows, or in
outlying rooms would be active. See next section
on Sensor Response Types for more details.

PRESS

ACTION

Using the Control Panel, press the
ON HOME button.

Using your Keyfob, press the
HOME button.

Using your Keypad, press the
ON HOME button and input your
USER CODE.

CHANGING FROM ON HOME TO ON HOUSE

There is no need to switch the system off. From
either the Control Panel, Keyfob or Keypad,
press ON HOUSE (

CHANGING FROM ON HOUSE TO ON HOME

There is no need to switch the system off. From
either the Control Panel, Keyfob or Keypad,
press ON (HOME) (

). Since

this reduces the security level, your BT Home
Monitor VP1000 will also ask you for your
USER CODE.

SWITCHING OFF

This means that the system will not raise an alert
when any of the Magnetic Contacts or Movement
Detectors are triggered.

The system will still provide you with operational
information. 24 hour detectors will remain active
at all times, this includes the optional Smoke
Detector.

The system will also raise an alert if someone
activates the Emergency, Help or Fire Alarm
functions. More information on these features
is provided later in this section.
