BT Home Monitor ~ Issue 5 ~ 1st Edition ~ 26_01_ 04 ~ 5725

Your BT Home Monitor VP1000 has two menu
systems:

User Settings – which all users can access.

Basic functions can be altered using this menu.

System Profile – which can only be accessed

using the Master Code. System Profile is the
menu which allows you to alter a range of
settings to personalise your system and change
the way your home is monitored.

SUMMARY OF COMMANDS

You can navigate your way through the menus
using a series of primary commands.

PRESS

ACTION

To make a selection.

Twice to confirm a change.

To move backwards through
the selections.

To move to the next selection.

To move back to the last
menu option.

Several times should take you
to the message <OK> TO EXIT.
This is just to confirm that you
wish to leave this menu option
and if you accept it will take
you back to READY mode and
the BT HOME MONITOR message.

User Settings Menu

The User Settings Menu consists of these three
functions:

• Set Sensors Off

• Show Sensors Off

• Recall Sensors Off

SET SENSORS OFF

Here you can deactivate one or more sensors.
When this menu is chosen you can scroll through
the list of sensors you have registered to your BT
Home Monitor and select the ones you would like
to deactivate.

You may choose to deactivate a sensor if you
are, for example, decorating a room.

When this option is chosen the Control Panel
display will flash with the message READY /
SENSOR OFF alternating to remind you to
reactivate it. This means that the rest of your
system is functioning normally, except for this
one sensor.

If you would like to reactivate a sensor you can
either clear the deactivation using the same
menu, or use the Recall Sensors Off function
described later.

SHOW SENSORS OFF

This menu shows a list of which sensors have been
turned off, which is useful if more than one has
been deactivated. You can scroll through the list
using the NEXT and BACK buttons.

RECALL SENSORS OFF

This option allows you to reactivate all sensors
which have been temporarily turned off. Again,
this is useful if more than one has been
deactivated. Selecting this function will allow you
to turn all the sensors back on, simultaneously,
rather than one at a time.
