Hands-free Phoning

Hands-free phoning with mobile

phones featuring Bluetooth

technology

Connected with registered phone screen
shown

If your mobile phone features Bluetooth technol-
ogy, this navigation system can be connected
with your mobile phone wirelessly. Using this
hands-free function, you can enjoy talking with
your mobile phone, even while driving.

❒ Since the navigation system is on standby to

connect with your mobile phones via Blue-
tooth technology, using the system without
running the engine can result in battery drain-
age.

(1) Source icon

Shows which source has been selected.

(2) Device name indicator

Shows the device name of the currently con-
nected mobile phone.

(3) Signal level indicator

Shows the signal strength of mobile phone.
Signal level indicator may differ from the actual
signal level.

) is dis-

played.

❒ Depending on the mobile phones featuring

Bluetooth tecnology, this indicator may not
show on the screen.

(4) Battery strength indicator

Shows the battery strength of mobile phone.

❒ Battery strength indicator may differ from the

actual battery strength.

❒ Depending on the mobile phones featuring

Bluetooth tecnology, this indicator may not
show on the screen.

(5) Missed call notice indicator

Shows when there is a log in the missed call his-
tory list and not checked yet.

(6) Preset list display

Shows the preset list of phone number or of
names.

❒ This navigation system’s phone call reception

is on standby when the ignition switch is set
to ACC or ON.

❒ The line-of-sight distance between this naviga-

tion system and your mobile phone must be
10 meters or less when sending and receiving
voice and data via Bluetooth technology. How-
ever, the transmission distance may become
shorter than the estimated distance, depend-
ing on the environment in use.

❒ In order to use Bluetooth technology, devices

must be able to interpret certain profiles. This
navigation system is compatible with the fol-
lowing profiles.

—HFP (Hands Free Profile)
—HSP (Head Set Profile)
—OPP (Object Push Profile)

❒ When TEL is selected as a source, equaliser

curves are automatically changed to suitable
settings for the phone source. When the
source is changed or returned to another
source, equaliser settings automatically
return to the original settings.

❒ When TEL is selected as a source, functions

other than FAD/BAL are inoperable in the
AUDIO menu.

About the telephone source

standby mode

Once connected via Bluetooth wireless technol-
ogy, this navigation system will remain on tele-
phone source standby in the background all the
while the connection is sustained. This means
you can freely use the other functions of this sys-
tem but still be ready to receive a call.
