Connecting a mobile phone

To use a phone wirelessly with the navigation sys-
tem, it is necessary first to establish a connection
using Bluetooth wireless technology. There are
several ways you can do this.

❒ HFP (Hands Free Profile) is prioritized over

HSP (Head Set Profile) in the connection via
Bluetooth wireless technology. If connection
cannot be established by HFP, HSP connec-
tion takes place.

❒ A phone may be connected via Bluetooth

wireless technology but not yet registered
with the navigation system. In this case it is
said to be temporarily connected, and the
available features are limited. To take full
advantage of all the features available, we rec-
ommend you register your phone with this
navigation system.
The limited features are;

• Preset dial list
• Call history list
• Phone book
