4. Crab Steering (See Figure 14)
All wheels will steer in same direction. This mode
permits the operator to move the vehicle sideways
toward the landing point of the load. This is espe-
cially helpful in tight quarters on a job, in order to
line up at the exact spot in front of the loading
location.
Caution
The forks extend beyond the end of the carriage. The
operator must be aware of the maximum sweep of the
forks when turning and allow for adequate clearance
between the forks, personnel and other objects (See
Figure 15).
