Signal Word
A signal word is a distinctive word located on hazard decals and used throughout
this manual that alerts the viewer to the existence of and relative degree of the
hazard.
The signal word ìDANGERî indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if
not avoided, will result in death or serious personal injury.
The signal word ìWARNINGî indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, could result in death or serious personal injury.
The signal word ìCAUTIONî indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury.
The signal word ìCAUTIONî, used without the safety alert symbol, indicates a
potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in property damage.
For safe maintenance of the vehicle, read, understand and follow all DANGER,
WARNING and CAUTION information.
