2 Setup

To use the Allworx Interact and Allworx Interact Professional applications, users must know
their Allworx username and password as well as the Allworx server IP address. Contact the
Allworx Server Administrator for this information.

2.1

System Requirements

Prior to installing the Allworx Interact or Allworx Interact Professional application, verify the
following system requirements:

Allworx server running software release 7.5 or higher (Allworx recommends server
software version 7.5.9.4 or higher).

Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (64-bit) or Service Pack 3 (32-bit), Windows
7 (32-bit or 64-bit), or Windows 8 (32-bit or 64-bit) operating system

37MB of available hard-disk space

1024 x 768 screen resolution (minimum)

2.2

Installation

Installing the Allworx Interact application requires Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.0 for
operating systems Windows 7.0 and earlier.

The Allworx Interact application supports Terminal Services/Remote Desktop Services on
Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, and Windows Server
2012 R2 using the Enterprise installer. The Enterprise installer also supports deployment
through Group Policy Objects.

To install the Allworx Interact Application:

1.

Navigate to http://get.allworx.com/interact/ for the downloadable version of the
application.

2.

Double-click the download installer. The Allworx Interact Setup Wizard dialog box opens.
Click Next to proceed.

3.

Accept the End-User License Agreement, and click Next.

4.

Configure the application short cuts by checking the box.
